Chrysler Says ‘Thank You America’
Chrysler ran a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal to ‘personally’ thank the American people for investing in them (re: Government bail out funding).
Uh… Mr. Nardelli, in case you did not realize this… the money the tax payers invested in you was not done on a voluntarily basis. The tax payers were bent over the table and our wallets were picked.
So the next time you run a full page ad to say “thank you”, you should get your facts right. Hank Paulson gave you the bailout money forcefully from the tax payers.
I find this full page advertisement disgusting and nothing more than a reminder that the American tax payer dollars are going right into a rabbit hole, never to be seen again.

This ad’s like pouring oil into the fire.. either their head is so dense or they just wanna say “na~nanana~na” to the american public. unbelievable
Yes, another round of wasted money. We just gave them a slug of billions of $$$ and they turn around and waste it by buying advertising space.
What a bunch of clowns.
They should have just printed in the paper the following;
“PS. Our friends at Cerebus thank you because we have begun sending all of our cash directly to them. Once they have siphoned off all of the cash, we will come and ask for more TARP funds. Since we have seen how easily our friends at AIG have squandered your tax money, we feel strongly that we can squander it just as well, if not better. Heck, we unionized, so we can assure you that the investment in the automakers will return next to nothing in terms of actual product that anyone wants and in fact return a loss for investors.”
I think it is funny that .gov will mandate that they make all kinds of green cars and oil will be at $20 soon so there will not be any need or desire for alternative energy vehicles…… Checkmate big 3. As ususal making cars that no one wants.
Next time they want government help, please get it from the judicial branch, which is already prepared to assist in restructuring companies. Sheesh!
Well my lifetime Power train warranty is safe until they blow the rest of the our tax dollars on advertisement.
