Labor Day Readings…

As the United States celebrates Labor Day it is fitting to acknowledge all of the issues facing those who are still employed, and to the millions who no longer have any jobs.

This year Labor Day should be called “Non Labor Day” in recognition of those who have suffered greatly at the hand of Washington, D.C. and their failed policies.

(hat tip Butch for help with links)

And finally tonight we have this clip from an interview with California congressman Pete Stark. Congressman Stark tries to say that the more debt a nation has.. the wealthier it is.  Huh! I guess that makes California the richest state in the nation. If they are so rich then why did they have to issue IOU’s.. hmmmm

If more debt makes a nation wealthier then I wonder why it is that sovereign ratings are in jeopardy for nations with high debt. Congressman Stark is incredibility stupid and it is no wonder why California is in such trouble with a representative like this. I also get a hint of racism in Congressman Starks interaction with the reporter from Puerto Rico.

And one last item for the night.. New clothing for the H1N1 season.

9-5-2009 1-04-51 AMThis ensemble will look great at work or for a night on the town amongst the H1N1 infected people walking by. You too can be fashionable in the midst of a pandemic..

Who created this ugly crap!

our entire financial system is one huge fraud. i’m surprised our country isn’t on fire as i speak. there are so many ponzi schemes and fradulent activities going on, it’s like a bad dream. and the sickening fact about the whole thing is no one is in handcuffs and no one is even up for prosecution. you know what that means? we have truly turned into a banana republic. what a crying shame that is. we the people of the united states have let a group of bankers and financiers loot our country right from under our noses. and our government is complicit in the entire scam. this is not america any longer… we have repeated history and have turned into nazi germany. good job america… now go back to watching dancing with the stars.

Chuck, for having had to solve the first H1N1 crisis in our company, I would need to relativize its impact.

H1N1 is just a very contaminating ordinary flu with particular danger for fragile persons.

But the illness in itself passes in just one to two days. So, barring a mutation of the virus, more fear than fire so to speak.

Our own crisis started last Friday and was solved already on Monday. ;-)

The reporter is so irritating that I would say almost anything to get rid of him except something as stupid as that. However if a country is able to support it’s debt it is assuming that the taxpayers can somehow pay for the debt hence the hidden wealth. That is the mixed up reasoning that the Government is following.

Wow…look at all of those nasty headlines. Certainly seems like everything is terrible out there. Not a shred of good news to be found anywhere. I’m going to stock up on extra water and gold bullion if I can find any.
In the meantime, when I went to the casino last night (local Indian run), you could not find an open BlackJack table. $20 a hand minimum and you had to wait in a line to play. Maybe all of those homeless and unemployed people have decided to take up high stakes gambling as the road to possible prosperity??
